KEY stage two youngsters at Gargrave Primary School, have been researching the First World War.
And, with the help of the village's heritage group, they have made a model of the local cenotaph - complete with the names of the 53 Gargrave men who died during the conflict.
They have also written stories about their findings.
"They have done a wonderful job," said heritage group founder and former school governor Norma Brothers.
Pupils have also been invited to lay a wreath at the re-dedication of the Gargrave War Memorial, which is due to take place on Monday at 7pm - on the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
The ceremony will be led by Lieutenant Colonel David Hargreaves and the British Legion and will be followed by a short service in St Andrew's Church.
In addition, the church will host an exhibition, We Will Remember Them, which tells the story of the Gargrave soldiers and includes some unique images of their final resting places in France.
The exhibition is due to run until the autumn.
