SKIPTON'S Dyneley House Surgery and Patient Participation Group will hold a health and wellbeing day on Wednesday.

It will be staged in the surgery's Dyneley Barn from 10am to 2pm and visitors will be able to meet other patients and practice staff, have a free health check and find out about the range of activities and support available to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Emma Taylor, the health promotion officer who is working jointly between Dyneley House Surgery and Fisher Medical Centre, will talk about activities which are available such as the walking group and gardening sessions.

And staff from the Fitness Centre at Craven Pool will raise awareness of the exercise referral scheme and the benefits of taking part in some form of physical activity.

Patients who cannot attend but are interested in the initiative can contact Emma on 07591 067930.

Meanwhile the patient participation group - which acts as a channel of communication between patients and the surgery - would be pleased to hear from any patients who might be interested in joining. For more information, visit dyneleyhousesurgery.co.uk
