NICK Bergin, a specialist nutrition support dietitian based at Airedale Hospital, visited Skipton's Dyneley House Surgery to provide patients with an insight into coeliac disease - an intolerance of gluten which causes inflammation of the small intestine.
In what was a very interactive session, patients learned about signs and symptoms of the condition and information about the types of dietary treatments available.
Practice manager Antony Radley said: “It is great to see so many people here, sharing their experiences of living with this condition."
In response to feedback received from patients, the practice has organised a programme of monthly education events for patients. Further details are available by contacting the practice team at the surgery.
