THE North Craven Heritage Trust has widen the scope of its grants.
Members agreed at that annual general meeting that the trust's historic churches fund, which offers support to aid the restoration of historic churches and other places of worship, should be extended to become the historic buildings fund.
It will include the option of making grants towards the restoration of any building of historic interest which is not in private ownership and lies within the North Craven area.
Speaking at the packed annual meeting, chairman John Asher commended the committee and the membership on their commitment to treasuring North Craven’s heritage.
There was also an informative talk by Mark Rand on the challenges of restoring the Settle Water Tower.
The trust would welcome new members, who value the distinctive character and outstanding heritage of North Craven and would like to support the work of the trust.
