SKIPTON'S traditional Act of Remembrance will take place at the town's cenotaph next Sunday, November 9, at 10.50am.
It will be followed by a service of remembrance in Holy Trinity Church, led by the new rector, the Rev Veronica James.
The church will not hold its usual Holy Communion at 9.45am, but the bells will be rung half-muffled as a mark of respect and the ringers hope to ring a quarter peal.
The 8am service of communion will take place as normal.
