BARNOLDSWICK and Earby will mark a hundred years since the start of World War I with Services of Remembrance on Sunday (Nov 9).

Residents are being asked to assemble at 3pm in Barnoldswick Town Square, where a Service of Remembrance will be held followed by a procession to the war memorial for the wreath laying.

In Earby, the parade will assemble at the New Road Community Centre at 1.45pm before proceeding to the war memorial in Sough Park for a Service of Remembrance at 2.30pm.

After the service the parade will re-form and return to the community centre.

Councillors Marjorie Adams, of Barnoldswick, and Rosemary Carroll, of Earby, will lay a wreath for Pendle Council during the services.
