POETS are being invited to declare their work and help raise cash for people suffering from Ebola.

The evening of poetry has been organised by staff and volunteers at Oxfam Books and Music in High Street, Skipton.

The open mic night will see author, broadcaster and comedian Gez Walsh and Clitheroe-based poet and winner of the Ilkley Poetry Prize in 2013, Philip Burton, taking to the stage.

John Launder, a volunteer who is helping arrange the night, is urging other poets to take part at The Black Horse in High Street, Skipton, tomorrow.

"All the proceeds will go towards the Oxfam Ebola Campaign," said John.

People interested in taking part should contact him on johhnlaunder1@hotmail.com or on 07939 523332 or at the Oxfam shop on 01756 799454.
