MEMBERS of Skipton Rotary Club have been thanked for their support of terminal illness care charity Marie Curie.
The charity's fundraising manager Sharon Link presented a certificate to members for raising £6,337 since 2008 when she attended the club's meeting at the Tempest Arms in Elslack.
The club's members have volunteered to help Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal each March and will continue to do so.
At the meeting, Sharon spoke about Marie Curie's new services, including a confidential phone helpline for anyone who has questions about any aspect of terminal illness, or who needs support.
She said: "It’s thanks to supporters like the Skipton Rotary Club that we are able to offer these new services as well as continuing our nursing and hospice care."
