A TEA and history event will be held at St Mary's Church, Carleton, next Sunday, August 9.
"Names and Dates: Medieval to Modern Carleton" will be staged from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
Sue Wrathmell will talk about the history of the village and recent research and will take visitors on a walk through the village to show the oldest and the newest houses, the former shops, inns, the school and places of work.
Admission is £6 for adults and free for school-age children and proceeds will go to church funds.
