TWO volunteers with Skipton Juniors have been recognised for their efforts by West Riding County Football Association.

Katie Hoggarth and Lucy Taylor were invited to attend an awards evening at the association's HQ in Woodlesford, Leeds.

Katie was named Volunteer of the Year. She has developed three new girls’ teams for Skipton Town FC, put together a football futures programme, secured local sponsorship, is a member of the West Riding Girls League Committee and acts as a volunteer and referee coordinator.

Lucy, a 15-year-old young leader, was presented with a Football Futures Recognition Award for voluntarily coaching the Skipton Juniors Girls under 11s team as well as refereeing grassroots football and helping out at The Skipton Academy where she is a student.
