THE Carleton Knit and Natter Group has handed over items made for the villagers of Chitepani in Nepal.
They presented blankets, shawls, socks and baby and children’s wear to the Chitepani Trust, a registered charity in the UK.
The group, which meets on a Thursday morning, was helped in its endeavours by the donation of knitted squares and wool from ladies in Embsay.
Pictured are Gwen Inman, Mandy Walker, Wendy Stott, Ann O’Donnell, Sara Allen, Ann Armstrong (UK co-ordinator of the charity), Tika Ram Sapkota (Nepal co-ordinator) and seated Christine Clarkson and Margaret Whiteoak. Pam Wilson took the photograph.
Several other members were unable to attend the presentation due to holidays.
