A CHAPEL which has been home to a Methodist congregation for more than a century is to close its doors on Sunday.
Previous Farnhill Methodist Church ministers Alan Raine and Ken Beardsley will take part in the final service, along with current superintendent minister the Rev Ruth Crompton.
The service starts at 4pm.
Mrs Crompton said: "The building is being closed for financial reasons and will be sold off, but the congregation will continue to worship at the Farnhill Institute.
"It's a little sad that the chapel is hosting its last service after well over a hundred years, but technically the congregation is just moving to a different place."
