SETTLE Primary School youngsters triumphed at the area indoor athletics competition, held at Giggleswick School.
Competing against pupils from Long Preston, Ingleton, Giggleswick, Kirkby Malham and Austwick, four of its six teams took top spot while the remaining two were runners-up.
Headteacher Richard Wright said: "What an amazing performance by Settle children. We now look forward to the next stage of the competition and need to practise hard."
The results were: years three and four, girls - 1 Ingleton, 2 Settle, 3 Kirkby Malham; boys - 1 Settle, 2 Ingleton, 3 Kirkby Malham; combined - 1 Ingleton, 2 Settle, 3 Kirkby Malham; years five and six, girls - 1 Settle, 2 Ingleton, 3 Kirkby Malham; boys - 1 Settle, 2 Ingleton, 3 Giggleswick; combined - 1 Settle, 2 Ingleton, 3 Giggleswick.
