One hundred residents attend the event, which marked the launch of the community's Good Neighbours Project.
Tracey Crewdson, from Age UK, said: "We hope now for residents to make use of the Good Neighbours project – that is always the hardest bit.
"Many villagers, often elderly, suffer terribly from isolation and loneliness so the work Age UK and Rural Action Yorkshire have been doing aims to try to alleviate the affects of such isolation.
