THE Firefighters charity is the latest good cause to receive £1,000 from developer Skipton Properties.
Skipton watch managers Pat Graham and Martyn Hughes, of Skipton Fire Station, welcomed the donation.
"Without the generosity of local people and businesses, such as Skipton Properties, we could not provide the professional and reliable service we aim to achieve," they said.
"The emergency services support people in the greatest times of need, yet the respective charities are designed to help those who help others and are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising."
Skipton Properties has so far distributed £6,000 as part of its community grants scheme where it plans to give away £1,000 for every month of its 30th anniversary year.
Several years ago, it also bought a £6,000 thermal image camera for the fire service.
Any group or organisation which would like to be considered for a £1,000 grant should email hello@skiptonproperties.com.
