A DRIVER stopped for no insurance on the A629 at Kildwick had six penalty points put on his licence and was ordered to pay £225 in fines and costs.

Paul Ricketts, 45, was stopped by police in his Ford Mondeo on April 2, Skipton Magistrates' Court heard.

Ricketts, of Alkincote Street, Keighley, who admitted driving without insurance, had just got the car and wrongly believed the insurance had been transferred from his previous car, the court was told.
