EQUESTRIAN students at Craven College were given a dressage masterclass by Will Joyce from the Yorkshire Riding Centre, near Harrogate.

Will, an advanced instructor who was trained by the current national coach of the German Olympic three-day event team, Christopher Bartle, has trained both horses and riders to regional and national level.

He has also produced horses at county showing level and for dressage young horse classes.

And making the most of the college's indoor arena, he put students and horses through their paces.

“I like to work with all levels of students to develop their confidence and promote the positive aspects of equestrian training," he said.

"I want to help riders who want to be helped to improve their skills including those working towards BHS qualifications – like those I met at Craven College.”

Joanna Baxter, equestrian leader, said: "Will’s visit was extremely valuable to the student's learning and progression. Many of our students are going on to a variety of careers including eventing, dressage and teaching so meeting and working with professionals like Will is great for them."
