AN Earby councillor is set to become the mayor of Pendle Council.
Cllr Rosemary Carroll, who was re-elected in the Earby ward earlier this month, is due to become Pendle's mayor after Brierfield councillor Nawaz Ahmed finishes his mayoral duties this week.
The mayor-making ceremony will take place during the annual meeting of Pendle Council at 7pm tonight in Nelson Town Hall.
A Mayoral Sunday celebration will also take place in Earby this Sunday.
People are being asked to assemble outside the New Road Community Centre at 9.50am. A procession will start at 10.10am.
