SKIPTON-based mortgage company Homeloan Management have been busy raising money to help babies in the neonatal unit at Airedale Hospital.

The HR team at HML in Skipton held a month of fundraising, with the aim of collecting £3,000.

Samantha Allen, recruitment specialist at HML, said: “We decided the HR team would lead on the fundraising, but the whole organisation got involved, including finance, facilities and the team in the canteen.

“We wanted to raise money for the neonatal unit, as some of our employees have recently used the unit and wanted to give back. We also wanted to give it to a local charity, so felt that this was the perfect cause. We ended up raising £3,047 in total.”

The team organised a number of events, including 'human hungry hippos' and raffles.

Jo Newman, matron for children’s services at Airedale Hospital, said: “We are extremely grateful for the generous donation from HML and will use the money to help improve our parent and family facilities.”
