CHILDREN at a village school had a pharoah time working on their latest topic.
Class four pupils at Eastburn Junior and Infant School enjoyed an Egyptian Day.
They dressed in costume and took part in a series of activities, including baking traditional flatbread – known as Aish – and making mummies.
There were also several physical and mathematical challenges and Egyptian food was on offer.
"Bread making was arguably the most popular activity!" said year four teacher Ruth McMeekin.
"At the end of the day we invited parents into school to look at what we had been doing and to give them an opportunity to discuss the children's learning."
