AIREDALE Hospital's first-ever Disability Awareness Week ended on a high note.
Members of the Sing from the Heart choir entertained staff and visitors in the onsite restaurant.
The awareness campaign was organised by a new focus group set-up at the Steeton hospital to improve the working lives of staff with disabilities.
There were activities, speakers and information stands and representatives from different organisations – including MIND and Project Choice – were onsite each day.
Nick Parker, director for human resources and workforce at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said the week had been a huge success.
"Hearing personal stories from individuals and organisations has been really informative," he added.
"This awareness campaign was a first step to try to find out how we can be more supportive as an employer to colleagues with disabilities or long-term health conditions."
