FUND-RAISERS are getting together at The Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton to help fill the charity coffers of Skipton endurance runner, Sam Boatwright.
Teacher Sam is tackling his biggest challenge so far for Help For Heros in his bid to run - carrying his bike - and cycle from New York to Los Angeles.
His aim is to run 50 miles and cycle 100 miles on alternate days until he completes the epic journey.
In 2012 he ran 2,500 miles nationwide from Blackpool to Skipton raising £16,000 for the same charity.
People are invited to attend the fund-raiser on Friday, October 7.
Tickets are £10 including a hot supper. A raffle will be held, with prizes donated from local businesses, and there will be a disco and drag act.
