CRAVEN Refugee Support Network will hold an open anniversary general meeting today when it will discuss the welcome of two Syrian refugee families.

Also under discussion will be future plans for the network and progress towards Skipton becoming a town of sanctuary, with two guests from the City of Sanctuary Movement.

Skipton, Bentham and Malhamdale will shortly join the 17 places of sanctuary in Yorkshire and Humber and the 80 spread across the UK.

The meeting, at The Friends Meeting House, The Ginnell, off Newmarket Street, is open to all and will start at 7pm. Visit the Facebook page or e-mail cravenrefugeenetwork@gmail.com for more details about the work of the support group or the City of Sanctuary Movement.
