THERE will be spooky goings on in Yorkshire Dales National Park during the half term holidays.

Visitors who go down to the woods around the Aysgarth Falls National Park Centre will be sure of a big surprise – of the scary sort.

As well as the chance to walk along a hair-raising Hallowe'en trail, which runs until Sunday, there will be a special quiz and a spooky scavenger hunt. And tomorrow there will be a day of Hallowe'en activities from 11am to 3pm.

Centre manager, Cathy Bergs, said: “The woods are wonderful right now.

"The colours are fantastic and to enhance the experience for anyone walking in Freeholders Wood, we’ve put on the Hallowe'en trail. It’s suitable for all the family and, if you complete our Hallowe'en quiz, you’ll get a treat.”

All the events are free and there is no need to book in advance.
