PEOPLE who enjoyed lunch at Skipton Town Hall helped raise £1,000 towards sending a mum of two, suffering multiple sclerosis, for treatment in Moscow later this year.

Emma McAdam, 45, of Skipton, her family and friends ran the the kitchen throughout the day on Saturday, January 7.

So far Emma has raised almost £13,000 of the £45,000 she needs to pay for stem cell transplant not available to her in the UK.

Her next event will be exploring Sports Nutrition, Resilience and Endurance at the Narrow Boat in Skipton on Wednesday, January 18, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, with speakers sports nutritionist Annie Simpson and triathlete Andy 'Ironholgs' Holgate.

Raffle prizes will include a signed swimming cap from the Brownlee brothers and a bike maintenance course at Riders Cycle Centre in Skipton.
