POLICE investigating the theft of a purse in a Skipton supermarket that took place in November, have just released CCTV footage.
Officers want to speak to the man in the image after an elderly woman shopper had her purse taken while in Morrison's Supermarket on November 9.
A man approached the woman at 9.50am on the day and asked questions about a food item before taking her purse, containing cash, from her handbag and leaving the store.
A police spokesman said: "Despite extensive enquiries in the following months, including forensic tests and a previous witness appeal, the suspect has not been identified. However, the investigation is ongoing, and officers have now secured CCTV footage of a man who may have important information that could assist the investigation."
