YOUNG children will again get the chance to meet some of the animal stars of Hart Farm when author Penny Staniland reads her stories at the Dalesman Cafe, Gargrave, on Wednesday, April 5.

Penny, who writes her interactive picture books about the farm's four-legged heroes under the name Penny Hartdale, will again be accompanied by some of the animals at the 'story time' event, which is for children aged three to seven.

The first story time featured Dexter the dog and angora goats Annie and Alice, but Penny is deciding which Hart Farm animals will be accompanying her this time - it could be Murphy the donkey, Alpasta the alpaca or Sherlock the sheep!

The event is on from 3.30-4pm.

Hart Farm, in Hawkswick, was set up by Penny and her husband Roger more than five years ago to provide therapy for children by encouraging them to interact with the farm's animals.
