FOUR Year 8 friends at a Barnoldswick school have raised over £100 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance through a charity bake sale.
West Craven High School students Jake Thompson, Aimee Jackson, Cameron Pearce and Finlay Richards showed their charitable side when they arranged the bake sale which raised £112.41.
The quartet have now presented the money to Jenny Jones, from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, during a special assembly.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies on the generosity of individuals and organisations to fund the service at a cost of £4.4 million per year, serving a population of five million people.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance covers four million acres and attends on average four incidents each day.
They have two helicopters, stationed Nostell Priory Estate, Wakefield, and RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk.
