A GROUP which helps young people experience the joys of getting out and about in Craven's countryside is celebrating its first birthday.
Skipton Camping for Young People was started by former Tesco community champion Keith Moorby, Jonny Shaw and Devan Mabbutt, to give 18-25-year-olds the experience of camping.
Keith first started running camping trips while working for the supermarket giants and says he saw how young people could benefit.
He said: "The young people are all from very different backgrounds and we manage to take them away a couple of times a year.
"All this is done through various kinds of fundraising and couldn't be made possible without the help from other companies and charities such as Midgley Motors, Craven Police Charity, Skipton and Craven Rotary Club, Skipton Charity Gala, and many more."
