A WOMAN who launched a charity in memory of her late father to support The Big Issue magazine, is to experience the life of a street seller.

Joanna Ripley will join Big Issue North in Leeds on Saturday, June 3, to meet the vendors as part of her bid to raise £5,000 for the Allan Ripley Foundation.

One of her first fund-raisers is the sale of her loud distinctive laugh which she launched on May 7, World Laughter Day and would have been Allan's 84th birthday. He was a popular postman in Skipton who used a one pedalled push-bike.

"I'll be given the opportunity to meet some of the vendors and go out in the morning to sell the magazine. I'm really looking forward to visiting them," said Joanna of Neville Street, Skipton.

Anyone wanting to donate or buy Joanna's laughter can do so for 99p at allanripleyfoundation.org or go to Just Giving Allan Ripley. Twitter account is @ARFoundation17.
