A NEW chairman of Craven District Council is due to be elected at Tuesday's (May 23) annual meeting of the council.
Outgoing chairman, Clr Chris Moorby, will start the meeting by welcoming Green Party member, Andy Brown, who was elected onto the council at the recent by-election in the Lothersdale ward following the resignation of Pat Fairbank.
There will then be the election of the new chairman, which traditionally will be the current vice chairman, Cllr Stephen Place.
The meeting will also see the election of a new vice chairman and up to 15 minutes public participation.
The annual meeting will start at 7pm at the council offices, Belle Vue Square, Skipton, and will be followed by a meeting of the council's Policy Committee.
