REGULARS and staff at Skipton's Red Lion pub are holding an auction and fun night to give a boost to two national charities.
Proceeds from the event, on Sunday, May 28, are to be split equally between Macmillan Cancer Care and armed forces charity Help for Heroes.
Among the prizes donated by local businesses to be auctioned off are a family pass for Thornton Hall Farm Park, vouchers for Skipton's Rendezvous Hotel and Matrix Bowling Alley and an England rugby shirt.
Among the promised highlights of the evening, which starts at around 6.45pm, is a full body wax for chef Mark Smith, while there will be a chance to win a 'me and me' date with staff members Zoe Atkinson and Danielle McGuinness.
Red Lion assistant manager Rob Morgan said: "There are some great prizes on offer and it promises to be a great fun-filled night. We're inviting people to come down, have a great time, and support two fantastic charities.
"Greene King pubs across the country have raised more than £1.5 million for Macmillan in the last few years."
