Skipton and Ripon MP Julian Smith has been appointed Deputy Chief Whip.
SKIPTON and Ripon MP Julian Smith has been given a new role in Prime Minister Theresa May's government.
Mr Smith said: "I am delighted to have been appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Chief Whip. I will continue to fight for Skipton and Ripon and speak up for our community while supporting the Chief Whip and the government in the interest of the whole country."
He will assist the Chief Whip, South Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson.
