Rescuers were called out after a woman walking near Malham Cove injured her shoulder after a fall.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance attended the incident, but the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) had to be called out to Ing Scar in to move the woman, 53.
The CRO says the air ambulance was able to land near the casualty and drop off a paramedic, but had to move due to unstable ground.
She was then reached by CRO members, who got her onto a stretcher into a CRO vehicle.
She was then driven to a waiting road ambulance at the nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park for transfer to hospital.
The incident happened at 2.35pm on Tusday.
