A 'FUTURE Proof Your Business' event will be held at the Aireville Campus of Craven College at 6pm on Thursday, July 13.

The focus of the meeting, which Craven College is hosting in association with The Skipton and Ripon Enterprise Group, is future proofing a business, which will include information on apprenticeships and support available for developing a business.

Four speakers have been lined up for the event, including Annabel Jelley, head of skills at North Yorkshire, York and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP), who will talk about the local economy, its skill needs and the most pressing skills challenges facing local businesses.

Emma Longbottom, sector skills manager at Leeds City Region LEP, will focus on key growth sectors in the Leeds City Region and the digital skills shortage challenge.

Dave Forrester, director of TaxAssist, and John Wild, director of Meritec, will speak about developing apprentices as part of their company’s personnel resourcing strategy and recruiting the right people to safeguard the future of their businesses.
