PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson is urging local artists to enter a prestigious Parliamentary film-making competition.
Founded by the former MP Mike Weatherley, the annual Film the House contest offers the opportunity to put local film-makers in direct contact with senior figures in the industry.
MPs acts as initial judges on local entries, with their recommendations put forward for judging by experts.
Prizes include advice from screenwriters, a day on a film set and a screening for winners’ films.
Mr Stephenson said: “This is an excellent opportunity for MPs to celebrate their local talent and there is no finer chance for our film-makers to gain exposure.”
The closing date for film entries is July 31.
