CRAVEN College in Skipton is celebrating after a successful quality assessment by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
The council awarded the Skipton based college the highest possible grading, acknowledging amongst others, student outcomes were generally 'good' or 'excellent' and that students' experience was of high quality.
Jane Rogers, the college's dean of higher education, said: “Our degree students achieve outstanding results year on year, so it is a real testament to the hard work of the staff and students that we have been given the highest possible outcome in our assessment. I think that the small class sizes and the career based degrees that we offer really help the students to excel.”
Robert Bellfield, college principal, added:"Our alternative to university study is a perfect solution for a lot of young people and this accolade just proves that their experience will be just as good, if not better than well-known universities."
