BROTHERS have joined forces in both having graduated from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst.

Three years after seeing his elder brother Alex ascend the steps of Old College, Officer Cadet Callum Moreman has followed in his marching footsteps in a parade officiated by King Abdullah 11 of Jordan.

Callum, 24, a former student at Ilkley Grammar School, has been commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Signals. His brother is a Captain in the Royal Artillery.

Callum of Airton, said: "Sandhurst was the biggest challenge I've ever undertaken and also one of the most rewarding, it pushed me a lot further than I thought was possible".

Passing out from Sandhurst is the culmination of an intensive 44 week course which consists of arduous military training, academic learning and sporting challenges.

Newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenants will conduct further role specific training before being placed in command of a platoon/ troop of around 30 soldiers, managing their careers and welfare with opportunities for deployment on peacekeeping missions across the globe.
