IT was a real family day out at Ingleton Horse Show with its youngest competitor being Isabel James at just three years-old.
The 30-year-old event has more recently been in the hands of Adele Horner and her friend Catherine Oversby who took over when it looked like it might not run again.
"Catherine and I used to attend the gymkhana as competitors so decided to give it a go to keep it running," said Adele.
"We did three successful years, but last year we had to have a year off due to ill health and this year came back and we were delighted with the turn out. I was lovely seeing competitors of all ages coming to compete and enjoy themselves.
"Beryl Morphet who has been involved in the gymkhana for many years is a fantastic help to us and keeps us in check with what we are doing."
The number of classes had grown over the years with three main show rings for in-hand, ridden and jumping. Games and novelty classes were available for youngsters to make it a family show with a dog show and refreshments.
