FANS are getting steamed up over a chance to see two of the area's most historic steam engines in action - one for the first time - at Bancroft Mill in Barnoldswick on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10.
Both the 650 horsepower Roberts and the unique 300 horsepower P Smith Bros and Eastwood engines will be in operation as part of Heritage Weekend.
The P Smith Bros and Eastwood engine will be seen working for the first time since it was rescued from a mill in Bradley many years ago.
Both engines have had thousands of hours of restoration work carried out by volunteers.
Bancroft Mill, in Gillians Lane, will be open from 11am on both days, with the engines running at intervals from 1pm to 3.45pm.
Admission is £6 for adults, concessions £5, family ticket £15, for two adults and up to four children. Children of five and under are free.
