TORRENTIAL rain caused chaos on the A65 north of Craven last night and in the early hours of this morning leaving some motorists stranded.
A number of vehicles had to be recovered and motorists were asked not to drive through flood water to avoid becoming trapped.
The road was closed north and south of Ingleton and between Settle and Long Preston and causing some traffic disruption.
A number of minor roads were also blocked and several villages in north Craven were difficult to access.
