KILDWICK schoolchildren has strengthened their links with a charity helping homeless youngsters abroad.

Kildwick CE Primary School welcomed Tim Lee, director of the Jigsaw Kids ministry, to talk to pupils about his work with the charity in the Philippines.

The charity works to support homeless children by placing them in family centres, as well as pay for them to attend school and receive medical attention if needed.

Kildwick School took part in the Bags2life scheme and the money raised was used to buy much-needed supplies such as soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Tim Lee also took the Collective Worship in church later in the day where parents listened to his presentation.

Kildwick School head Tim Whitehead said: “This is a fantastic way for the children to learn about the lives of children in other countries and the daily struggles that they encounter.”
