A PUPIL of Parish Church School in Skipton is the new Rosebud Queen for the town’s gala.
Ten-year-old Hana Mahmood was chosen by a judging panel from children aged six to 11 at the Rendezvous Hotel.
Also selected as her attendants were her fellow Parish Church School pupil, eight-year-old Isla Wojtas, and Kirkby in Malhamdale Primary School’s Katy Swales, aged nine.
Her page boy is seven-year-old Harvey-Jack Day, a pupil at Greatwood School in Skipton.
Hana will be crowned at Skipton Gala on June 9 by retiring Rosebud Queen Rosie Marren.
Hana will lead this year’s gala procession, which starts at 1pm on Westmoreland Street, moves up the High Street and Gargrave Road, and finishes in Aireville Park, where there will be entertainment, a funfair and fireworks.
