THE congregation of Settle Parish Church gave a warm welcome to the Bishop of Leeds, the Right Rev Nick Baines, at the latest joint service of Holy Communion for the area's three parishes.
They were joined by members of the congregations at St Alkelda's Church, Giggleswick, and Holy Trinity Church, Rathmell.
Edith Diggles, of Settle Church said: "It was wonderful to have a full church which included some visitors who had heard the church bells ringing and decided to join us before they set off to climb Ingleborough."
Mr Baines became the first Bishop of Leeds, which covers West Yorkshire and the Dales, in 2014.
