THERE'S a packed line-up of events taking place in March at the Venue Sports and Music Bar in Cavendish Street, Skipton, and much of it is free.

The monthly 'funked-up' disco takes place on Friday, March 1 with a funk, soul and disco night, courtesy of 3E Production DJs, entry is free, and it gets underway at 7pm, until late.

On Saturday, March 4, from 7pm until late, Venue presents DJs Sean Davies and Farky with house music all night long; entry is free.

March 10 is 'open decks night' (7pm until late), and will feature DJs of all abilities genres; there are six 45 minute slots available - people are invited to get in touch to book a slot before they all go.

Disco Loco is on March 11 with DJ Si Jackson and will include pop and party bangers, dancefloor fillers and singalongs all night long.

St Patrick's Day will be celebrated on March 17 with a 'neverending music challenge', an all request night with a twist, people choose the music, but the song categories are lucky dip.

'Freak Like Me' is on March 18 - the monthly R&B, Urban & Hip Hop night with 3E Productions DJs.

Open Mic night is on March 24 when musicians of all abilities and styles are welcome to perform. March 25 is 'house classics' and is a fundraiser for the charity, Homeless Not Hopeless. DJs will include Zone DJ - Matt Bell; as others including Richard Osadzenko, Keef Woods and Luke Pompey and resident DJ James Barrett. £10 per ticket, from Venue or Ticket Source.

On March 31, there is an acoustic night with Skipton's own Jamie Squire with a variety of covers and original tracks.

And kicking off April, on April 1 there will be 'Unplug The Jukebox' featuring disco, soul, reggae, ska, new disco and house music.
