SETTLE Photographic Group held its annual photographic competition which was judged by Christine Hodgson from The Yorkshire Photographic Union.
Christine talked about all the entries, giving advice on how she thought they might be improved and finally announced the winners who were, first, Brian Blinkhorn with 'Splash' and, second, Peter Robinson with 'Majorcan Green Shutter'.
Joint third were Sue Best with Steam at Selside, Peter Robinson with Ceiling of Cheisi Madre San Giorgio, Locorontondo. Paul Underhill with Workspace and Graham Wood with Bancroft Mill.
Starting in 2008, the group now has around 40 members. It aims are to enjoy photography, develop skills and knowledge, and to learn from and engage with other photographers. Its programme includes talks, demonstrations, challenges, outings and exhibitions.
It meets on the third Monday of the month at St John’s Methodist Church, Settle at 7.30pm.
