CRAVEN Arts in Skipton has a busy few weeks coming up, starting with a collaboration between Craven College Performing Arts Level 3 students, who will be performing ‘Road’ by Jim Cartwright. Craven Arts House will host two showings on Thursday May 4 at 1pm and at 4pm.
Road is a funny, bittersweet enjoyable rollercoaster ride through a working-class street in 1986 suffering with the effects of Thatcherism, poverty, and unemployment.
It contains language and scenes and is not suitable for those under 15 years old. To book a place, visit craven-college.ac.uk/event/road/. £3 on the door.
The next exhibition to be held in the Otley Street Gallery will be 'Butterflies, Moths and Insects - Lepidoptera'. The exhibition, which opens on Thursday, May 4, will feature painting, print, sculpture, drawing, textile and mixed media and will be open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 11am to 4pm until Saturday, May 27.
There is also a selection of summer courses coming up, from life drawing to printmaking and a monthly 'sewing bee' session. Find out more at: https://www.cravenarts.co.uk/workshops
