GARDENS in Austwick are to be opened to the public with the proceeds from the event going to support the children's playground.
Sixteen gardens will be open on Saturday July 8 from 10am-5pm. Tickets and maps are available to buy from Cross Leigh Stores, Austwick. The cost is £5 for adults for a day pass, children free. A free cup of tea or coffee is included with the ticket and homemade refreshments will be available all day in the Parish Hall.
The map showing the addresses of the gardens open and tickets will also be sold on the day at the Parish Hall.
Visitors will see a great variety of gardens - veg plots, orchards, ponds, herbaceous, shrubs, wildflower meadows, child friendly, rewilding, works in progress and some perfectly manicured.
There will be lots to admire and visitors can expect some home made treats.
