ORGANISERS of Giggleswick Horticultural Show are hoping for fine weather on Saturday (August 12) for the 80th annual show.

Residents of Giggleswick and surrounding areas will be able to see the very best of vegetables and flowers at the event which has seen entries into more than 140 classes. There will also be cookery, crafts, photography and art, as well as children's classes.

The show is open to all, and as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations, there be a children's dog class, with entries on the day.

A spokesperson for the show said: "Our famous Giggleswick Show Tea Room will be serving homemade cakes, tea and coffee from 1.15 pm in the Hobson Room adjacent to the Pavilion where the show is held, courtesy of Giggleswick School."
