GIGGLESWICK Horticultural Society held its 80th annual show last weekend with a good number of exhibits and visitors.
The event was opened by John Foley, of Holden Clough Nursery, near Bolton-by-Bowland.
Once again the green-fingered members of the society showed off their gardening wizardry as they battled the year's fluctuating weather to bring some excellent produce to the show table.
It was obvious some class numbers were down following the recent bad weather, such as soft fruit and roses, and there was a handful of classes with no entries at all, but the exhibits which made the judging table were a credit to the exhibitors.
There was a good number of children's entries, too, alongside the annual showcase of the nimble-fingered and artistic residents in the district who did not fail to enter some beautiful crafts and exhibits.
There were also some outstanding exhibits in the home produce sections.
